About Heritage Auctions

Knowing that an average lot can sell in about 20 seconds during a live auction, Heritage Auctions offers a new way of bidding that benefits both the consigner and the collector, allowing more bids to be made and more time to consider bids. The undisputed online industry leader, Heritage Auctions features a novel tool called the Interactive Internet bidding system. Interactive Internet creates a virtual auction house that makes lots available weeks before they go to live auction, allowing Heritage Auctions' bidders around the world to view lots and drive prices before the live auction occurs. High bidders are immediately notified via e-mail when they are outbid and those following the auction on Heritage Auctions' website are given the current high bid and prompted to bid higher.

When a lot at Heritage Auctions goes to live auction, high bidders online are invited to participate over the phone. In addition, the HERITAGE Live! system, Heritage Auctions' other web-based bidding system, allows collectors around the world to participate in live Internet auctions. With no travel expenses, online bidders have a lengthy history of winning the lot. Heritage Auctions' dual online bidding system allows collectors around the world to build their collections while increasing realized prices for consignors.
